How the way of listening to music has changed thanks to technology.

Throughout history, music has changed to the rhythm of those who listen to it: fashions, economic and social development have affected the music we listen to.

Essential for the generalization of music has been the advancement of technology since its inception. In today’s post, we tell you how music has advanced thanks to technology.

Before any kind of device, music was heard live: concerts, ballets, theaters… social events based on the enjoyment of music.

It will not be until the 19th century that the phonograph will emerge, which recorded a single sound and reproduced it. Shortly after, the gramophone would emerge, which allowed more copies to be made, that is how records emerge.

The 20th century was the one in which the advances happened more quickly with the beginnings of the turntable, it would be from the eighties that we would see a large number of advances that aim to make music listenable outside the home: CDs, cassettes and Walkmans, with computers came MP3, and finally, in the 21st century, the mobile.

Currently, the mobile has established itself as a multipurpose tool that, of course, allows streaming music to be played anywhere: the music we want, wherever we want.

It seems that only nostalgics, DJs, and those who prefer the warmth of vintage sound use records anymore, although most prefer the comfort of modern technology.

No matter how we look at it, we have to be thankful that technology has helped the generalization and expansion of music throughout history so that today we can enjoy it.

Did you know the technology that started the expansion of music in history? tell us in the comments.
